Schilling: ESPN racist and biased against conservatives

It's been just over a week since ESPN fired broadcaster Curt Schilling after the former pitcher shared an anti-transgender Facebook post. Now he's firing back at the sports network, accusing it of being racist and having a "liberal agenda."

Schilling made the following comments during an appearance on SiriusXM's Breitbart News Patriot Forum on Wednesday:

It was apparent to me early on that if you wanted to go off topic as a sportsperson, you have to go off topic left (on the political spectrum) or you were going to get in trouble. Some of the most racist things I've ever heard came out of people that are on the air at ESPN. There are some of the biggest racists in sports commentating, and you take it for what it is.

Schilling was suspended last year by ESPN for a racist tweet comparing Muslims to Nazis, and also found himself in hot water for slamming Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton.

ESPN has hired Raul Ibanez since firing the outspoken Schilling, and Jessica Mendoza is now a mainstay on the network's Sunday night national broadcasts.

Schilling debuted on ESPN as a color analyst in 2010.
