Sergio Ramos fires warning at Barcelona: 'Nothing lasts forever'

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos vows Barcelona will not have an easy path to the La Liga title.

Ramos saw his side concede four goals in El Clasico on Nov. 21 at the Santiago Bernabeu, one of the worst defeats between the two sides in recent memory. But a 2-0 win this past weekend at Eibar gives Ramos the belief Madrid can cut the six-point gap between them and Barcelona.

"Now it's time to forget all that and avoid dropping any more points in La Liga," the 29-year-old told Spanish TV, courtesy of AS. "Barca should enjoy this as much as they can, nothing lasts forever."

Keeping a clean sheet at Ipurua Municipal Stadium, where Eibar had limited its league opponents to just five goals in the six previous matches, was a triumph in itself for Madrid.

"With that victory against Eibar we took our first step," Ramos said.
