Luis Enrique interested in conducting some January business

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique says he is unconcerned about the fitness of his squad after a stacked autumn schedule, but did reveal his interest in entering the transfer market in January.

Lionel Messi returned to fitness in time for comprehensive 4-0 and 6-1 defeats of Real Madrid and Roma respectively, but there are still some notable absentees in the treatment room.

"I am not afraid of that, not at all. We are getting players back fit now, and will have some more (Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan) in January," he told Dermot Corrigan of ESPN FC.

"When the window comes we will see what the situation is. I am also in favour of strengthening and improving the team. The idea is to be ready for when the trophies are won at the end of the season."

The Catalan club will expect to continue its fine run of form Saturday against a struggling Real Sociedad, but Enrique expressed a note of caution given that Eusebio, former manager of the Barcelona B squad, is the new gaffer of the Basque outfit.

"With Eusebio they will have a plan. He knows our play for sure, although many coaches know perfectly how Barca play. The have a plan, but then Messi gets the ball, dribbles past three players ... that happened to me two years ago (when Luis I was Celta Vigo coach)."
