Sturridge in contention for first appearance under Klopp vs. Bordeaux

Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge could make his first appearance under manager Jurgen Klopp in Thursday's Europa League clash with Bordeaux.
Sturridge, who missed more than a month of action with a nagging knee injury, was an unused substitute in the weekend's 4-1 win at Manchester City.
Klopp confirmed Wednesday that Sturridge is "getting closer, closer and closer. He has now trained seven or eight times in a row - the longest period since I’ve been here - and, of course, that will help him."
Christian Benteke, who has struggled with a knee strain of his own, is more likely to start. He emerged as sub on the weekend, but last played a full 90 minutes on Nov. 8.
