Report: Manchester City sign Malaga youngster dubbed the 'new Messi'
Manchester City have signed Malaga youngster Brahim Abdelkader Diaz, according to the Mirror.
The 14-year-old forward has been dubbed the 'new Lionel Messi' and was courted by Barcelona, who introduced him to likes of Messi, Andres Iniesta and Xavi during a visit to Camp Nou.
The Mirror reports City have paid close to £300,000 up front, with the final deal worth £2.4 million.
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini's relationship with Malaga, the club he used to manage, is believed to have tipped the scales in favour of the Citizens.
